Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at Contact@FrostedGlassCreative.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Absolutely not! We welcome performers of all experience levels and abilities.

A pencil, a highlighter, and a good attitude! Or at least an attitude ready to tell a story!

Comfortable clothing for outdoors and movement. No flip-flops please!

Yes! If registering more than one child in the same class and age group, use the code FAMILY10 for 10% off your registration fees.

Our teaching artists will meet students at the same location every day (exact drop-off for your specific camp will be communicated by e-mail). At the end of the day, parents will need to check out with the teaching artist. If someone other than the parent listed on the registration is picking up a child, we will ask that you communicate that with us via e-mail so that we can keep everyone safe and accounted for!

No food is provided as a part of the camp experience, so please bring your own snacks for breaks if desired! No peanuts for the sake of possible contact allergies within the group. Thanks!

If at all possible, please communicate with us ahead of time about scheduling conflicts. This allows us to structure rehearsals around scenes/songs/roles that make most sense for the group of students present and ensure that time is used most efficiently!

Yes! We want everyone to have an opportunity to perform with us. However, if you do have to miss a performance, please let us know at registration so that we can make plans for an understudy that day or a way to modify choreography, etc. for that performance. With enough time to plan, all things are possible!

There will always be at least two teaching artists present at all rehearsals and performances. All of our teaching artists are professionals and have completed full background checks.

Costumes will be provided! We do ask that students wear a base layer (black leggings, t-shirt, etc.) to go under costume pieces, and black shoes. However, if this is a hardship for your family, please just let us know and we can make arrangements to provide these pieces as well.

Performances will be professionally photographed and production photos made available to families. Due to show licensing and contract requirements, we are not able to allow recordings during performances.

For "Treasure Island" our performance will be moved indoors. Location to be announced shortly.

For "Under the Sea" we do have a rain make-up date on Monday, August 17th. If a performance needs to be cancelled due to rain or severe weather, we will make the decision by 4:30pm for evening shows and 12:30pm for afternoon matinees.

100%. Each student has their own comfort level with speaking in front of others. The beauty of theatre is using character, emotion, technique, and storytelling to find the power in one's own voice. We emphasize total safety within class to be yourself and simply try things. There is no "wrong" in creativity! Students who participate in theatre often see major improvements in academics as their confidence to speak, present, and ask questions begins to grow.

Everyone will have some level of memorization to accomplish! For the "Treasure Island" camp, it will be more focused on text and blocking (movement on stage). For the "Under the Sea" camp, students can expect to memorize lyrics and choreography (musical theatre dance sequences). Most memorization can be accomplished within camp hours. However, we do ask that parents check in and help their student memorize at home for the most success (and fun!) at camp.
